Plans
Your organisation has one subscription plan. The plan decides how many platform-model tokens you get each month, how usage beyond that is paid for, and whether you can use models with your own API keys.
The plans
| Plan | How platform-model usage is paid | Own-key (BYOK) models |
|---|---|---|
| Free | A monthly token allowance. Usage stops when it's used up. | Not included |
| Starter | No monthly fee and no allowance. Every call is paid from your prepaid pay-as-you-go balance. | Not included |
| Pro | Monthly fee with a monthly token allowance. Past the allowance, pay-as-you-go or hard stop. | Included |
| Business | Monthly fee with a larger allowance and a lower markup. Past the allowance, pay-as-you-go or hard stop. | Included |
Platform-managed models are billed at the provider's cost plus a markup that depends on your plan. Some platform models are only available from a certain plan upwards; if your plan is too low, starting a chat with an agent that uses one tells you which plan it needs.
For current prices, allowances and inclusions, open the plans page: select your avatar, then Upgrade Plan (Free plan) or Plans & Billing (other plans). It's headed Choose Your Plan.
Agents configured with your own provider credentials ("bring your own key") only run on plans that include BYOK. On other plans, running such an agent fails with a message asking you to upgrade. Platform-managed models work on every plan.
Who can change the plan
Only the organisation's Owner or an Admin can change plan or start a plan checkout. Any member can view usage, top up the pay-as-you-go balance and set the overage mode.
Upgrade or switch plan
- Open the plans page (Upgrade Plan or Plans & Billing from your avatar menu, or Compare all plans in Settings → Usage & Cost).
- Select Upgrade or Get Started on the plan you want.
- For a paid plan, you're taken to Stripe Checkout to pay by card. A plan with no monthly fee, such as Starter, takes effect immediately.
- After paying, you see Payment Successful. Activation usually completes within a few moments. Select View Plan & Billing to check it.
If you leave checkout without paying, you see Payment Canceled; select Retry Payment to try again.
You can also switch plan from the Available Plans table in Settings → Usage & Cost → Billing.
Changing directly from one paid plan to another, for example Pro to Business, can't be done in the app. Contact FYAI support. To move from a paid plan to Free or Starter, cancel your subscription instead (below).
Top up your balance
Pay-as-you-go credit is bought separately from the plan. In Settings → Usage & Cost → Billing, under Pay-As-You-Go Balance, choose a preset Top up amount or enter a Custom amount, then pay through Stripe Checkout. See Usage and billing.
Choose what happens past your allowance
On Pro and Business, Overage Billing Mode in Settings → Usage & Cost → Billing decides whether requests keep working past the monthly allowance (Switch to pay-as-you-go, paid from your balance) or stop (Hard stop).
Cancel a subscription
- Go to Settings → Usage & Cost → Billing.
- In Available Plans, select Cancel Subscription on your current plan and confirm.
Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you aren't charged again. A Cancels on date appears on the plan. Changed your mind? Select Keep Subscription before that date.
When a paid subscription ends, the organisation moves to the Free plan. Your data is kept.
Payment details and invoices
On paid plans, Manage billing in Settings → Usage & Cost → Billing opens Stripe's customer portal. If a payment fails, a banner offers Update payment method and says how long your plan stays active.
Trials
If your organisation is on a trial, a chip in the header counts down the days left. When a trial ends, the organisation becomes read-only: everything is kept and you can browse, but you can't make changes or run anything until you choose a plan. The trial-ended screen offers Choose a plan and Browse in read-only mode.
