Getting started with FYAI
FYAI is a platform for building, running and governing AI agents. This page gets you signed in and through your first few tasks. For a map of every part of the platform, see the Platform overview.
- Go to fyai.co.nz and choose Log in.
- Select Continue with SSO. You're taken to FYAI's secure sign-in portal and brought back to the app afterwards.
FYAI is in closed beta. If someone in your organisation invited you, use the link in your invitation email. Otherwise, request access at fyai.co.nz/request-access.
The first time you sign in, FYAI creates a personal organisation and a default project for you. It also fills the project with starter content: platform-provided models, agents and teams, plus a few integrations, data sources and dashboards. You can use all of these straight away.
Your first few minutes
When you first arrive:
- A Welcome to FYAI window offers Take the 60-second tour or Explore on my own.
- The Concierge chat opens. Ask it what you want to do, for example "Find a stack that fits our support workflow" or "An agent that triages inbound email".
The Get Started checklist
The Get Started card at the bottom of the left sidebar shows your progress through ten steps. Select it to open the Getting Started page. Each step ticks itself off when you do the real thing:
| Step | Where |
|---|---|
| Create your account | Done when you sign in |
| Workspace ready | Done when your starter content is in place |
| Chat with an agent | Chat |
| Create a dashboard | Dashboard |
| Create an agent | Build → Agents |
| Run a workflow | Build → Workflows (launching a mission counts) |
| Install a stack | Marketplace |
| Start a program | Build → Programs |
| Connect an integration | Resources → Integrations |
| Invite a teammate | Settings → Organization |
Progress is kept per project. The card disappears once all ten steps are done.
Guided tours
The Help menu in the header offers Platform tour, Tour this page and Get Started. Tours exist for the platform as a whole and for the Agents, Models, Chat, Workflows and Missions pages. To see tours again after dismissing them, go to Settings → Account and select Replay tours.
A first path through the platform
Each step links to a guide with the detail.
- Chat with an agent. Open Chat, pick one of the starter agents and ask it something. Watch it call tools and, if a call needs your sign-off, approve it in the conversation. See Chatting with agents.
- Build your own agent. In Build → Agents, create an agent, give it a model and instructions, and assign a couple of functions. See Agents and Adding tools to agents.
- Connect a service. Store credentials for something your agents need in Resources → Integrations, or connect your own account in Settings → Connected Accounts. See Integrations and Connected accounts.
- Put agents in a team. In Build → Teams, combine agents under one of six orchestration patterns. See Building a research team.
- Automate it with a workflow. In Build → Workflows, lay out the steps on the canvas, then launch a mission. See Your first mission.
- Run it without you. Put the workflow on a schedule or trigger it from a webhook. See Scheduling workflows and Triggering workflows with webhooks.
- Install something ready-made. Browse the Marketplace for Stacks you can install into your project. See Marketplace.
